With more than 25 different hiking routes experience beginners as well as experts plenty of variety in the midst of idyllic nature. Various difficulty levels enable a leisurely stroll or an adventurous challenge - depending on what you like to feel.
Historical Sports hike: Learn more about the 100 years old winter sports history around Oberhof. At a length of 4.5 km, you will find historic testimonies of an active story.
The "burned-out stone": as on our overview page of Oberhof already mentioned, a hiking trail leads directly to the "Burned-out stone". The 9 km long trail runs partly along narrow forest paths and a small climbing wall - ideal for advanced and active hikers.
The Rennsteig Gardens Oberhof - on a length of about 4 km you can march directly to the Oberhof Rondell, which is located in the proximity of the Rennsteig gardens. The Rennsteig Garden is Germany's largest and most species-rich alpine garden - definitely worth seeing!
Goethe hiking trail: discover the trails of the great poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. This route with a distance of more than 18 km and many differences in height is more suitable for advanced users and pros. Start is in Ilmenau, end is in Stützerbach.
Hiking with the family: also of families is in Oberhof thought: Several short and lightweight stroller trails allow even the smallest visitors to participate in the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest.
